You probably had a wire break on you. That will happen when you have keep fiddle about with the guts.

Okay. So replace C2 but not R4, R5, or Q6 yet. Then make sure the buffer is still working. Then trace out your envelope trigger signal path. Turn the sensitivity knob all the way up. You should get a clear signal all the way to pin 3 of the op amp. Be careful! The signal coming out of pin 6 should be VERY VERY LOUD. You should also get very loud signal on the base of Q3, 4, and 5.

Sounds like C2 is the problem...or at least the the first problem in the signal path.

So just to verify, if you remove C2, the output buffer works. If you replace C2 (and none of the other components I had you remove) your output signal drops significantly?

If this is the case, keep C2 installed and remove the S3 wire from either the PCB or the pot itself and let me know if the buffer is still working.

I guess I was wrong to say that C2 itself is the problem. I'm not thinking that C2 is the problem. I'm thinking that something after C2 in the envelope trigger signal path is the problem....like there is a short after C2 that is bleeding off most of your signal to ground. So if you put C2 back in and remove the Sens. pot, and the buffer works again, that would confirm that. Understand that that doesn't necessarily mean that the Sens. pot is bad, so don't jump the gun and replace that just yet. It would just mean that the problem is in the envelope trigger signal path and the C2 is good.

Which pin is it? Is it pin 1?

Looks like the solder pad is lifted from pin 1 eyelet. Not a problem, since nothing appears to connect to that pin. Have you tested the pedal yet? If not, it's a bit early to be throwing in the towel, isn't it? If so and it's not working, we can help.

Incidentally, what's all the crud on the board? If any of it appears to be metallic, i.e. solder "splash", gently scrape it off with the edge of a small flat-head screwdriver.

No bypass is almost always a footswitch issue--either a wiring/solder joint problem (more common) or a bad switch (less common).
