I’ve just plugged the pedal in for the first time and it works when it’s turned on, but no sound travels through the pedal to the amp when it’s not on. I’m. It sure where to start with troubleshooting this as it’s one of my first builds. Any help would be appreciated!

It looks like the jumper wire on the footswitch connecting pin 9 to pin 4 is melted on pin 5. I wonder if it melted through and is shorting there? Could be the angle of the photo...

That’s just the angle of the photo. The wire is arched over pin 5, but it’s not melted and there doesn’t seem to be any exposed metal touching... Which is responsible for sending the sound through the pedal while in bypass? Thanks for the help!

The circuit paths through the footswitch are as follows--

Bypass: Input --> lug 4 --> jumper to lug 9 --> through footswitch to lug 8 --> output

Engaged: Bypass: Input --> lug 4 --> through footswitch to lug 5 --> into effect circuit --> out of effect circuit to lug 7 --> through footswitch to lug 8 --> output

Re: you problem, I don't see any obvious errors or defects, so I would start by working through this process: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

If that doesn't do the trick, we'll ask you to take some DC voltage readings next, assuming that you have access to a multimeter and know how to use one.
