I've completed the Envelope Filter / Fixed Wah kit. After assembly, it seems to work fine, except for the fact that the sensitivity pot needs to be turned all the way up (clockwise) to work.
bypass works, manual works. All of the other knobs seem to do what they are supposed to do.
I did pull it apart and look on the bottom side of the PCB (since you solder in the pots from the top/component side. It seemed some solder had somehow dripped and bridged 2 of the pins on the Sensitivity pot. I fixed that problem and re-flowed a few other joints I saw that popped out as being problematic. After testing again, the Sensitivity knob seems to work more of the range, but eventually gets to a point where it cuts out and won't register any notes, no matter how hard I attack. I also did check to make sure the pots were installed in the correct position.
I do plan on going back and reflowing all of the points. Thats definitely a takeaway I've seen here many time.
Outside of that, is there any specific spot I should hone in on that would cause just the Sensitivity knob to not work through about half or a little less its range?
also - on the foot switch, it does look like in one pic that the 4-9 bridge wire is touching adjacent pins, but it is not.
