Hi, going to order som .33uf caps to get a little more bass and sweep from the EF.

Thing is, I don't know which variant to order. Could someone just peruse the caps in the three options on the RSH site below and tell me which I need.

http://search.freefind.com/find.html?pageid=r&id=26534289&query=.33µF&ics=1&fr=0

ie. do i need

ELECTROLYTIC » NON POLARISED
ELECTROLYTIC » RADIAL 63V
ELECTROLYTIC » RADIAL 25V

????

I'm baffled. :oops:

Thanks in advance!! :P

NO.

You should get (2) 0.1uf film caps (More funkier, less fizz)
Let me know where you plan on buying them and I can find them for you.

I've found some 'metallised polyester film' caps here with the right values:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/searchtemplate.asp?criteria=0.33UF%20%20400V%20METAL%20FILM%20CAPACITOR

Would they do?

the film caps on the original site don't seem to show values in uf. :?:

Try to find caps that are rated for 50V or so. They will be physically smaller and take up less pace. Is there a reason why you want .33uf caps instead of the recommended .1uf?

If you don't see the uf value you need use the nf equivalent.

.1uf = 100nf
.33uf = 330nf

The build instructions recommend .33 for slightly darker guitar, and the .1ufs for bass guitar. I figured I'd try out a couple of .33ufs first, as per the recommendation.

Incidentally, is it possible to mix the caps, i.e. one .33 and one .1uf?

people have reported lots of success with the bass mod being used with their guitar. You can socket the cap vias and experiment if you'd like. Get some sockets and caps and have fun.

I'll say it again ... use them all on a rotary switch. 3 pedals for the price of 1. :lol:
