Bypass works.

No LED. (thought it did at one point work fine, and corresponded to the speed control. However, when that worked I didnt have any audio when it was on)

The pedal passes audio in both bypassed and active states. When 'active', there is no effect, and the 'depth' potentiometer controls the level for some reason. The problem is the same with power supply or battery. I've tried reflowing and visually inspecting, and as far as I can tell everything is in the right spot and there are no shorts in the soldering.

I have a multimeter but I'm not sure what I should be searching for...

Thanks in advance for any help.

I replied to the thread you were piggybacking on. Let's just stay in this thread from here on out. Test for continuity as described in the other thread and post your results here.

Thanks for the help! I tested for continuity and I did have continuity between that leg of the 5088 closest to the LED when the switch was in "ON" position.

Now measure the voltage on the collector (the leg of that same transistor on the opposite side). Also measure the voltage on the square pad of the LED.

Having trouble getting readings, but I discovered that when I connect the LED leads, the effect works...so I think the LED might be dead....I have another kit that I can steal an LED from so I'm going to try that. Will keep you posted.

It was the LED! How might I go about ordering a replacement?

After some testing, I think the depth of my tremolo could be improved as it is quite weak right now. Are there some voltages I should check to make sure everything is okay/help pinpoint where an issue might lie? If so, where and what are those values? Thanks

Have you tried adjusting the bias trimpot?

Yes — for me, adjusting the bias seems to affect the shape of the trem but not so much the depth

Have you reflowed your solder joints yet?

Fixed it, one of my lugs for my input jack was touching one of the lugs for the depth potentiometer -- my mistake and interesting to note for me.
