I'm still pretty new to this, but I know that different LED's have different forward voltage (I believe that's the correct term) and so might require different transistors ahead of them. I assume that it would be possible to swap different colored LED's for the stock red/green in this kit? Also I'd assume that if one were to do that, then one would also have to maybe figure out different resistors that might be necessary for the new LED's to work right, be bright enough, etc? I appreciate any feedback! I haven't found any threads specific to this yet, but if there are any I'm happy to be pointed to where I need to do my own research :) Thanks!

It really shouldn't be necessary to fool around with different resistor values for different color LED's. I've never found a problem running the typical "diffuse" LED's of any color with a 4K7 current limiting resistor (CLR). From what I've read, anything between 1K and 10K works fine--they'll just be a little less bright with higher values. I suppose if you want more visibility for a dark stage or bandstand, you might want to go to the lower values--but the better play in that case is to use one of the super-bright clear LED's and just stick with your usual resistor value.
