A couple years back I built the harmonic tremolo. Great sounding effect, but it only seems to offer extremely choppy, on/off tremolo no matter how the depth knob is set. The entire range is between 7 and 8 o'clock. Even within that range, I can't get a smooth subtle effect like I'd like.
Is this just how this pedal is, or do I have a problem somewhere?
Appreciate any and all help!

Hi! The soldering on this build can really use some work. It's likely that a bad connection is causing the depth issue. I recommend following the procedures in this post: http://www.byocelectronics.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

If that doesn't fix, remove the PCB from the enclosure and make sure you've got the correct value potentiometers installed in the correct locations.

Agree with all that Morgan said. And no, this is not normal operation for the BYOC Tremolo. (This isn't the newer Harmonic Tremolo, btw.) You should be able to get nice smooth sine wave tremolo with this pedal.
