Hi there,

I just finished putting together the tremolo kit, however the LED, as well as the rate & depth knobs, are not working. Sound comes through my amp when the pedal is turned on or off, and the level control works as well.

I have attached a photo so hopefully someone will be able to help!

Thanks!

Are you certain you haven't mixed up a 5088 with a 5457 transistor? Perhaps you have the LED in backwards.

If not, I would assume you just need to reflow your solder. I don't see any components out of place.

Detailed guidance for that process here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

Quick update:

Was about take your advice and reflow all my solder joints, but before I was about to start I decided to try out the pedal one more time. I discovered that if I don't use the 9V input on the pedal and instead use a 9V battery, the pedal works! But as soon as I plug in an external power supply the pedal stops working completely. Any suggestions on what's going on here? Should I still reflow?

That was the issue! Thanks so much for that. Pedal is working perfectly now, and sounds great.
