Hi one 'n all!
A few yrs back, I purchased and built the older style 'Phase Royal' BYOC kit (the smaller version in the 1590 sized enclosure)
Built without problems and has worked well ...love it! but one gripe I have with it: When I switch it on, there is a slight jump
and increase in vol from 'unity volume'...always wanted to see if I could swap out the resistor responsible for vol signal to
lower the vol slightly and avoid that 'bump' (since there is no vol control on this version) but I've no idea where it lays in the
circuit or what value the resistor might be.
I'm absolutely lost when it comes to reading circuit diagrams so any advice and suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks.

I'm not sure which version PCB you have. You'll have to provide pics. But it's probably similar to this where R23 and R24 control the mix levels. R23 is your wet mix. R24 is your dry mix. Increasing the value of either of those resistors will reduce the level of each mix respectively. Increasing the value of both will reduce the overall level.

sorry, its taken so long to reply ...though Id already posted something ...but just discovered but hadn't! (slaps forehead with palm of hand!)

Its a Phase Royal 2009 - Rev 1.1 board
Where might 'R23 R24' be located on the board? (if these do, indeed turn out to be the right points in question, on that particular board)
Hopefully you can view these pics...

I've moved this thread to the Non-BBD Modulation sub-forum where it really belongs.

As shown right in the middle of the PCB in this diagram. This one is the Rev. 1.0 board, but the resistors are the same on both 1.x versions:

Ok, cool, thanks for the info!
The board I have, has the component values printed on it,
but it looks like its the 22k resistors.

Yep, there are two pairs of 22K resistors side by side there in the middle of the board, R23 - R26.
