Hi all,
Just finished my Classic Phaser. Light came on

and I could trim in the phaser sound on 2 o'clock position. But after reading up in this forum I'm wondering if I trimmed it correctly.
Starting from the noon position on the trimpot I turn ever so slowly to the right until I get phase effect (half past 12 o'clock). But it sounds a bit dark and slightly distorted. Then continuing turning to the right the phase effect is gone. But when I continue turning to the right it appears again (2 o'clock), but now darkness is gone and it sounded more clean. Better to my ears, but I am not a expert on how a phase 90 should sound.
This puzzled me, because after reading a couple of posts on this forum I understood that the sweet spot should be near the noon position, and is only very small. After turning to 2 o'clock the area on the trimpot where I get the phase effect is quite large.
So can you guys maybe shed some light on this? Is this normal or not?
I included a photo of the board (top side) and a zoomed in photo of the JFET's because I noticed sometimes you guys ask for what color stripes are on the back of the JFET's.
