Hello,

I put together the Classic Phaser kit a year or so ago and after I put it together it had a lower volume when engaged than bypassed by a good amount. I also noticed the LED is a bit dim when on. It does produce the phasing effect when it is on it is just a good bit quieter. Bypass is working as expected. The rate know appears to work as expected. I'm not sure where I should look to fix this. I had done a couple other BYOC pedals with no issues prior but 3rd times the charm I suppose. Any help in where to look to troubleshoot what is going on here would be greatly appreciated!

It could be that you have got some resistors in the wrong places. Perhaps a 470k resistor for the LED current-limiter instead of 4.7k (lower-right hand corner in your top photo), and a 4.7k instead of 470k for the resistor just to the left of the IC closest to the foot switch?

If the latter is R2 in the schematic, it will cause the input impedance to be much lower than intended, really dragging down the input level that makes it to the first op amp, hence the volume drop. (As for 470k at the LED it is amazing the LED lights at all!)

This is exactly the problem here. Switch the two resistors I've circled in my markup of your photo and I think you'll be good to go:
