Hi all,

I'm experiencing noticeable distortion on a harmonic tremolo build that a completed a few months back. I've moved house since then, so I'm only getting a chance to look further at it now.

The bypass a foot switch work as expected.
The LED works as expected - the flash frequency aligns with speed pot.
The pedal works perfectly in terms of all the functionality, except for that noticeable distortion.
I experience the same distortion whether using a 9V battery or power supply.

I've tried various combinations of settings on the level and bias pots. The level pot just does what is expected and it does not contribute to the distortion as far a I can discern.
The bias pot goes from a fully distorted sound when turned fully clockwise, but the backs off rapidly as it is turned the other way. However, the best I can get is a noticeable level of distortion.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You.

Also, the depth knob, when has an effect on the amount of distortion. All the way clockwise has the most and vice-versa. However, even when all the way anti-clockwise, it's still noticeable no matter how much I play with the bias pot.

You soldering looks very "cold", as if you did not have your iron set high enough and/or did not hold the iron to the joint long enough. Also, some of you off board wiring concerns me...especially your DC adapter jack.

You should reflow all of you solder joints. Use a small amount of fresh solder and don't be afraid to apply some heat.

Here's some detailed guidance on that process: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

The wiring looks particularly messy, especially the DC jack. Suggest that you strip, twist and tin your wire ends before soldering them in place, to keep those strands from separating and sticking out where they can cause problems.
