Here's some detailed guidance on that process:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188The wiring looks particularly messy, especially the DC jack. Suggest that you strip, twist and tin your wire ends before soldering them in place, to keep those strands from separating and sticking out where they can cause problems.
