 Post subject: Phaser - correct diode ?

Hmm - can you take a look at this pic . . .

Compared ot Leader's build pic the 'larger' zener diode (the right of the 2) looks way bigger on his pic. These are the ony 2 diodes that were in the kit and the one to teh right is ever so slightly larger than the one on the left.

The left one is definately the correct part as I can read the labels, the other one is less clear in the flesh.

Hiya timmyo

I got the phaser clone at the same time as the Tri Boost last month.

I haven't built it as yet, but here's a photo of the supplied
diodes on the circuit board.

The one on the left is definitely larger than the other, on the left.

Zener diodes come in all sizes different brands, I wouldn't worry about having a small one.

As the previous post say Zener diodes do come in different sizes

Its all down to the wattage required by the circuit..The smaller one would be a 0.5W the larger one a 1.3Watt.

You have it right. Yours must be the "vintage" phase 90 kit with some NOS parts in it that I put together especially for axeandyourshallreceive.com
