Hi

Just built the Tri boost, all working well. Having never owned a Rangemaster I want to ask a question about the germanium tone.

So the Clean and Linear are full fat boost tones (which I expect) the Germanium tone is super thin, I had the tranny around the wrong way initially and
fixed it, so it's not that.

In the treble position it's almost like it sounds like the signal is going through an old transistor radio. The full position has almost no bass frequencies

Is this normal behaviour or is the transistor (or my wiring) dodgy?

Cheers
David

The treble position description sounds pretty close, but the "full" position should definitely have some bottom end to it. Wondering if maybe you've swapped around a couple of caps somewhere in the circuit. I'd check all the caps to make sure they're correctly placed.

Played around with it, got used to the sound. Just my ears not used to a trebly signal made by a treble boost! Lol
