This is of course my first build. I haven't had any issues with getting the "pedal" itself to work but according to the instructions the boost should not do more than simply increase the volume. A slight turn (quarter) of the trim pot creates a great increase in volume and starts to drive the amp. Is there something wrong with the build? I am building the OD-1 next and would like to know if anything I am doing is off. Thanks

Can't see the photos. Could you post them as attachments rather than remote images?

Hmmm. I don't see any obvious issues and all the components seem to be in the correct places. Solder quality looks quite good, though I would definitely trim down those protruding leads to avoid possible shorting. That wouldn't make the boost louder, though. Have you tried the trimpot across its entire sweep? Does the volume change seem to be continuous and not step-wise?

The increase in gain appears to be linear. Increase in the trim pot does not jump around. Should I test the ohms on the trim pot...I feel at though the DMM I have s unreliable. At a full turn of the trim it sounds crunchy...just not a good crunchy. With an 8th of a turn the boost, the chip drives the amp a minor amount with the volume turned up an 8th as well. Could it be the amp that I'm using - solid state Orange Crush 20 RT. Maybe guitar, pedal, and amp coombo - my only electric is an Epiphone ES 339. Will clip down the leads on the parts that i bent to keep in place while soldering.
