Installing the DC power jack

When you go to install the DC power jack on the PCB you will notice that the solder eyelets are much bigger than the jack's solder lugs. This is what I do to install the jack. I use a small section of 20 AWG solid core wire in each solder lug of the jack. Begin by doing only one of the jack's solder lugs. Then install the PCB into your wah pedal and check the alignment of the jack with the hole in the side of the pedal. If it doesn't line up properly you can reheat the solder on the one solder lug and re-position the jack a little. If you do not have enough play in the jack you may want to use a drill and enlarge the hole in the side of the pedal so that you can plug a power supply in without it shorting out against the pedal. Once you have the jack positioned correctly solder the other lugs. You do NOT have to try and fill the eyelets with solder.
