hey, since i usually prefer FET's tone, is there a way for using them in the wah circuit instead of the BC109's/other alternatives ..?

To use mosfets at least would be a complete redesign and still might not work well. Unfortunately fets just don't have the gain of bjts. So there isn't any simple substitution anyway.

FETs and BJTs work differently. You have to drive them a completely different way; so you'd have to redesign that part of the circuit.
