I have been working on mine for a few minutes now.

If anybody is interested, purchase an inexpensive die grinder and buffing pads.
I just did half of this enclosure in about 10 minutes with a small (3 gallon) air compressor.

pics to follow later on tonight.

taking a bit longer than anticipated..

this compressor just cannot put out the cfm's to keep up with the die grinder.
sand for about a minute, then let it build for a minute.

oh well, it was damn easy enough to get the pin for the treadle out.
didnt have access to the press this time at my mom's shop, but a nail and hammer did the job.

progress so far tonight

tomorrow i will look into some finer abrasive wheels to even out the finish some more.
Think I will leave the black paint on top of the treadle. the polished look frames it somewhat.

You got a buffer wheel. I bet you could polish that thing till it looked like chrome. Way to get the St. Pauli's girl in there too.

I like the polished/chrome wah look too! Why does almost everyone insist on black?

thanks for the props, guys.

A few thoughts..
I really need to find a complete set of buffing wheels. Harbor freight only had a coarse and medium grit available. I had to purchase a scotch-brite pad and hack a worn down wheel for my third pass. THis was not quite a "fine" but more of a "medium-ish fine." I feel that I i could find a few more steps past what I purchased, the effect would be even more pronounced.

Next up: clear coat. I added clear coat because after one day, the bare metal began to oxidize. Unfortunately, as a result, the final product, while still quite bling-bling, ended up to more of a buffed pewter type finish. Still, quite striking, IMO, but not the bedazzling chrome-alike I was hoping. Somebody on my IM list suggested a powder based clear coat. Unfortunately, I have no access to this.

If you check my "Wah!" thread in the "Show off Yer Build" forum, you can get a pretty good idea of how it turned out.
Either way, it was very fun, and I am looking forward to some time tonight with this pedal.
Perhaps spammish, but if anybody is interested, I would be willing to do this to your wah enclosure as well. (is that alright to offer Keith??)

PEACE!
