do i need to grease the gears on my wah? what should i use to grease?

I use silicone grease. Also known as heat sink compound.

I use white lithium grease, found at hardware stores. itll last a long long time... use a tooth pick to kind of spread it around...

Step on your wah and rock it back and forth. Does it hang up or rock back and forth smoothly? Does it make squeaking noises? If so, grease it. If not, leave it alone.
