Here are two mods you can do to the Divided Octave circuit to boost it's output level.

Replace R31 (82K) with a lower value to increase the octave level. I went with 47K which gives me an output that's a little higher than unity.

To offset the volume loss when engaging the BASS switch increase the value of R8 (22K). I took mine up to 220K and so far the results are very good.

Socket both resistors so you can tweak to taste.

I completed these mods using your values with great results.

I am considering using a resistor and pot in series for both mods to act as intensity controls for each octave. Any thoughts on that?

Which resistor should I replace for more octave up effect? Also, can I swap a few 1/8 watt resistors with 1/4 watts I have laying around?

When you say "Replace R31 (82K) with a lower value to increase the octave level", did you mean the octave up level?

What volume loss? Is that after performing the first mod or is the vol loss supposed to be inherent in the circuit.

Currently I don't experience a volume loss when I engage the bass switch.
