Hey,

I know that before installing the trimpots on the wah pedal you should set and mark their resistance according to the recommended stock values. Should the same be done when replacing the trimpots with actual potentiometers, or is it acceptable to simply wire the potentiometers onto the board and then determine where the stock value of resistance would be using a DMM?

Set their values before you install them. Once they are in the circuit you may or may not get an accurate reading due to the rest of the circuitry being in parallel with the pot.
