This is about measuring the value of the Q-trimpot after populating the whole pcb. I wanted to start of with a stock base of values as a reference on the pots and go from there. When I measure the Q, I get consistent readings of 26 ohms. If I pull the trimpot out and replace it with a fix resistor of 33K, I still get 26 ohms. Is this normal? Is there another component in the circuit that is influencing the readings?

Anyways, I preset the trimpot for 33K and reinstalled it. It all sounds fine. Actually, it sounds great. All this being said though, I haven't tried adjusting the Q while actually using the Wah plugged into an amp.

You cannot measure the resistance of a resistor while it is in the circuit. The rest of the circuit is in parallel with the resistor and will throw off the reading. At the very least you need to disconnect one end of the resistor from the circuit to get an accurate reading.

Thanks. So I'm going to take that as a "normal". Now, are you talking about any resistor that's connected? Or just the ones that are running parallel to others in the same loop? I have poor schematic reading skills... :?

Also: What should I be looking for when adjusting the Buffer Volume?

Any resistor. There are cases when a resistor in circuit will measure accurately but most of the time the rest of the circuitry will throw off your measurement.

Unity gain output from the wah pedal.
