Hi I found the documentation for the 10 band graphic eq build online. I dont see the kit currently offered on BYOC, so I assume its no longer made. The instructions give some good background on what value capacitors to use to set the bands at various pitches, but never gets into the widths of the bands. Presumably if you wanted to set them close together, say 1/3 of an octave, you would want the effected width to be much less to avoid overlap.
For example a band with a center frequency of 100 HZ is listed as cap A : .027, cap B: 1 Is reducing the bandwidth a matter of using caps with values closer together? it is unclear exactly what role cap A an B play in shaping each bands frequency.

Thanks

download the data sheet for the BA3812L. It will explain how to calculate frequency and Q.
