Hey I’ve stumbled across a discontinued 10 Band EQ. What would be the power requirements? I’d like to know the mA current draw and if it’s a normal 9v or and 18v like the MXR 10 band

It was designed to run on 9VDC, but I can't find anything on the current draw. Maybe Keith will check in on this.

Do you have instructions for the kit?

I found this too but it doesn’t list the answers I’m looking for unfortunately.

The schematic in there does show the power as being +9V, which answers one of your questions.

Not a guarantee of anything, but I looked up a data sheet for the chip (x2) in there--if I read it right it said quiescent current typical 5.0 mA max 8.0 mA (for 8V operation) and a graph that shows something similar (the expected current draw goes up with supply voltage). Throw in a couple more for the LED and it sounds like 15 mA, maybe 20.

Exactly what I was referencing when I said it was designed to run on 9VDC. Further, the datasheet for those BA3812L IC's shows a max. P/S voltage of 16V, so I wouldn't try running it on 18V.

Very reasonable estimates, probably on the conservative (high) side but certainly in the ballpark. And its a purely analog pedal, while the big current drawers are the digital circuits.
