I just finished installing a drop in wah kit in a crybaby enclosure.
I made the pedal for my guitar instructor. He frequently gigs in venues with small stages, so he's real careful about the size of his stage setup. He asked me if I could make a wah pedal with Inst and Amp jacks in the front of the pedal, and power on the right hand side to preserve as much stage space as possible. All his other pedals have input and output jacks in the front.
A long time ago, he had a wah pedal that used a pot with an ICAR taper just like this one, so he's really like this BYOC design.
When I plug it in and connect a guitar and amp I get lots of noise when the circuit is engaged. Activating the treadle makes the wah sound with the noise. It's quiet in bypass mode.
Picture below shows the interior of the pedal.
Can anyone suggest how I can fix the noise?
