Wah mod problems

I have just done some mods on my JH1 wah wah and now it wont work, I added 2 trim pots and when i check to see if the pedal worked I got a loud buzz when wah was engaged in heel position, so i put back all the original parts and then i get no sound when pedal is engaged. So have i blown a cap or diode or what, please help...
