Perhaps this could be viewed as an opportunity to improve on the old vault... I don't post a lot but I reference these pages a helluva lot while I tinker (eventually, I'll post a picture of something I'm proud of!) and that stuff vanishing is a massive downer.

How about a naming system for easy reference and consistency overall? I know it would help me.

You could post your pics/comments/questions/troubleshooting tips specifically about that build in that post and it would stay tidy (ish).

Also... what is the official stance on cloning of effects still in production? No that's not what I mean... we'd all do that if we could.

I mean, if for example I got a perf layout for something named a "Fluffy Elephant" that sounded similar to a well-known boutique effect, could I post it up here? BYOC is a really friendly board compared to some of the others I've delved into (the mods in which, are sometimes downright nasty) and not so intimidating or dismissive of the novice. I'd have sure loved to have found a perf Mammoth-a-like at when I started trying to build, rather than six months down-the-line when I've spent time and money on f.ucking stuff up and bodging things that are more complex.

Is there even an official stance?
