Here's my take on the Jordan Bosstone.
I've added swichable input caps and an on/off/on switch for 1N4001/none/led clipping.
The three sounds are quite distinctly different, and range from od to distortion to fuzz. It also cleans up well in either the none or led clipping settings.
You can add a fuzz control by simply placing a pot on the input as a pregain too.
For a (reasonably) low parts count, I think it sounds tremendous.

This layout has been tweeked a little since I built my prototype, but should be fine. If anyone verifies it before I do please let me know.

I did a real quick clip of it, only the 'no clipping' setting.
It was still on the breadboard at that stage, when I box it up I'll do a more comprehensive demo.

Nice, one of my fave fuzzers. I'd add the pre-gain, you still get a fair bit of guitar vol control over the gain with it.

Thanks for the layout, 'Geddon.
Question;
Is that middle wire from the pot connecting to the middle lug of SW2?

Thanks
Geek

Sorry to hear this Sir Geek.
The only reason I can't categorically say it's You, is because my (working) one is an ever so slightly different layout.
Are you using an on/off/on switch?
All that's happening is the introduction of a pair of diodes/pair of leds to ground at the end of the curcuit.
The switch makes/breaks a connection to them. Center they're bypassed, up or down they're connected (and run off to ground.)
What does your's do? The Leds light up, so it's easy to tell if they're active...

Yeah, it's an on/off/on switch. nothing changes when I hit the switch, in any position. Not getting any clipping from diodes...wonder if it's the 2N2222(A) that's messing things up?

Got the cut under R6?
As soon as I've feed the kids lunch, I'll build one up to verify.

Ok. 2/3 the way there. one of the diode selections isn't kicking in. I'll get that. Nice job giving choices on the input caps. You have to put larger values in all these old fuzz's to "modernize" them a bit.
