Hi
I've read some previous posts about the BLEND knob, and I've read Keith's instructions for bass mods.
However, I'm still a bit confused.
I'm setting up a (BYOC) pedalboard for a customer/friend. He needs a flanger asap for his bass.
Can someone give his opinion? As I am relatively new to pedal building, I'm still in the "follow instructions"-stage.
I can drill a hole, put pots or leds somewhere else  , but understanding resistor and cap-values is still beyond my understanding.
(I need to start experimenting with a breadboard real soon :) )

Any thoughts?
best regards
Tom

I found that you just don’t need bass mods for filters. On the low end of the effect, things get rumbly and distorted. I am a bassist and haven’t modded any of mine. Now, that being said, I built a phaser for my buddy whom is a pro musician, he plays bass for a living, I doubled the input cap and the last audio cap, he said it lays into a track better.

You may want to use those mods then, but socket those 2 caps. Sorry if I came off Braggy, is was more a comparison than anything.

Braggy? Off course not...
How about that blend-mod that came up for the flanger?

I've done a clean blend to the flanger, works well and is very useful IMHO.
Seems my images are no longer hosted...(geez, I've posted a lot of stuff that may now be meaningless! ) but the description may help until when/if I sort out the Photobucket thing.
Edit: Holy CRAP!! Photobucket wants $399!*
Sorry, and I really am- I cant afford that, makes me feel sick that what I've posted is now gone. :(
I'll see if I have any of the relevant images still here...

Wow. Talk about greasy... If you have images relevant to anything here, you can upload them to the forum here, or email them to me.

I've resized and uploaded three pics to my original blend mod thread. Hope they help.
If someone wants to edit them into their relevant places in the OP, great, but I'm done for today!
