Hi-
I've finished your Brit (JTM)45 head, and just have one issue. It sounds amazing. The screw heads on the power tube sockets (tube retainers properly installed) prevent the Gold Lion kt66s from seating properly. They hit the screw heads and sit up from the sockets about .040 (perhaps slightly more) of an inch. Contact is fine. No issues after after about 20 hours of play, but it concerns me a little. I don't want to be in the middle of a gig and find one of the tubes goes intermittent. Anything to be concerned with? I don't want to start filing screw heads! Thanks!

I think this might have been covered before. Have you tried searching the forum?

I would want my power tubes to seat correctly in the sockets and would replace those screws with a lower profile version, like a cone head screw.

Thanks, Morgan. I did do a search and didn't find anything. I'll take a look at those conehead screws. Damn! I was hoping for a better answer! Thanks for your help.
