Hey all,

I can’t figure out a good way to utilize the provided switch. The holes are too small to allow wires to pass through. Now I understand that I can wallow them out a bit (a very little bit), this is not optimal and doesn’t fix the problem with the middle lug needing 2 wires connected to it

I have tried to reach out to BYOC direct but no reply

I would think it best to have mechanical connection along with the solder connection, so what are you all doing??

Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions,
Stu

Strip the wire a little longer and wrap it round the terminal

Thanks Keith. I did purchase a different switch and was wondering if you could clarify how to correctly wire this one in place of the one provided please:

i would have preferred one smaller but this was really the only one I could find

You can see that there is one terminal that doesn't have the rotating contact touching it no matter what position you have the switch. This is the pole. It gets connected to the speaker jack. The other 3 are called throws. They get connected to their respective tap on the output transformer. The best way to tell which is which is to install it into the chassis with the rear faceplate and add the knob. Then you should be able to see which terminal the contact is connected relative to what impedance the switch is pointing to.

I use those in all my amp builds. Great switch. Tube depot sells them too.
