I had a nightmare scenario happen earlier while trying to install the LM308N into my Mouse kit. I guess the angle wasn't right and pin #1 bent 90 degrees. When attempting to fix it, the pin snapped off entirely. I'm a little bit bummed about this but it's not too much to order another chip. My question, though, is whether or not the chip I have can be salvaged in any way? I'm in no way adverse to just ordering another chip (or two, just to be safe since I've apparently got gorilla hands) but just figure I'd ask around before putting in an order.

Thanks in taking the time to read.

Sure. I’d you’re not heavy handed with your soldering iron, you can run a little jumper with something like a snipped off resistor lead or something. Solder it between the chip and the socket.

That's the response I was hoping for. Doing some light Googling brought up a few videos on repairing IC pins so I figured it was possible but just wanted to run the idea by here before trying and wasting my time.

Thanks!
