I recently finally got around to building my OD2-Kit... It's pretty schweet and I'm still trying to make up my mind on which Opamp to go with. I built it with MOSfet stages all the way, but when I engage the clipping switch to either side for either the Silicon or MOSfet, the volume output seems to really drop.
Before I post pics of my build, I'm just wondering, is this the natural behavior of the circuit?
Of course, if it's not, I've likely foobared something...
Thanks,

+1. That's how clipping works. Part of the signal is "clipped off", not only producing the desired distortion but also reducing the volume a bit. Good explanation by effects guru R.G. Keen HERE.
