Hello, I am building the mouse and don’t understand how the pcb hard clipping works. I thought hard clipping “bled” excess voltage to ground (the mouse schematic also shows this). But on the pcb the hard clipping diode pairs don’t seem to connect to ground. They seem to just be a dead end. Aside from understanding the theory, I was considering putting a six way switch in place of the three way diode selector, but the switch I have used in the past has two wires for connections, whereas I only see one connection on the mouse pcb (I suppose I could connect the other to ground). I have attached pictures of both sides of the pcb and the six way switch I use.

Unlike most BYOC PCB's, the entire lighter green area on the back of the Mouse PCB is ground plane. If you look very closely, you can see that the lower diode eyelets connect to that lighter area with very small traces, rather than being isolated from it for their full circumference. You can always check for continuity to ground with a multimeter if you want to reassure yourself that what I'm saying is so.

Thanks voodooman. I thought the rings looked a bit odd, but I had to use a magnifying glass to see what you mean. That also explains the ground wire going to the pcb that didn’t seem to connect to anything. I hope none of my solder overflowed to the ground part of the board!
