Recent reports of some "tone-sucking" (characterized by a loss of treble and a dullness to the output tone) in British Blues Overdrive (BBOD) builds has been traced to an error on the PCB. The treble loss occurs when the pedal is in bypass mode. The effect is fairly subtle, but immediately noticeable when compared to the output without the BBOD in the signal path.
Details of the error and how to fix it are given in
THIS POST. Keith has modified the
BBOD instructions with instructions on how to fix the problem, and future PCB production (v. 1.1 and higher) will be corrected to avoid the problem.
