i am a first time builder and i have been reading through past forums for info. my question is what are good opamps to replace in the 250+ circuit? if i have understood correctly it uses a single channel opamp, as opposed to the screamer that uses a 2 channel. is that correct? thanks for any help you can offer. you make a really great product, and the people on the forums are very helpful.

I like the TL071. But, peoples milage varies. You should get a socket and swap out several different opamps.

i did get a socket the other day from mouser, that seemed like a good idea i picked up from another board.
