I built my mighty mouse, its the first pedal ive slapped together.
just had a few questions.

All the pots are type A. is this the reason the filter knob only appears to make a difference to the tone when it is turned almost all the way to up?

in addition to that, when i use the toggle switch to go through clipping stages, the centre position (off) is noticably louder than selecting either setting on the switch. is this likely to be a resistor is the wrong place or something? the Level knob gives a HUGE boost though.

the Distortion knob works well, but kills the signal if turned all the way down. im not sure this is right or not.

the LED also doesnt work, but thats cos i soldered it on the wrong way round. school boy error!

Everything you are experiencing is normal. Some like to use a B pot for the filter but the originals had A. The middle position lifts the diodes. With no diods to clip the circuit is louder.

i had fun with it in a practice space in london, put everything on it to the max and turned the crap AVT it was going through up to 11. busted out some crazy drone.
