Hi,
Just got into BYOC as a bit of fun being stuck at home, dusting off my soldering skills, starting with the Mouse kit.
I’ve had a couple of issues with the input jack, first of all the packaged jack had a loose sleeve leg, so the signal would cut out, but the jack would never work at all when installed into the chassis.
I replaced the jack with a substitute from a local electronic store, so now the signal goes through fine, but it still cuts out when installed into the chassis.
I’ve reflowed all the solder joints for the input jack and ground wire
I’m guessing there’s some kind of grounding issue when screwed in, but I can’t seem to nail it down.

Anyone have any ideas for a first time builder?
Thanks.

Check your output jack wiring. It appears to me that you have connected the sleeve to the output rather than to ground.

Oh you're right, I was focusing on the other dodgy jack so I overlooked the output.
I knew I needed another set of eyes, thanks :)
