Build Your Own Clone Message Board

I have just completed my very first build Classic OD and installed a 9v and it works great ! However, when I plugged in the DC adapter the pedal would not work. It took me a bit but figured out that I had switched the sleeve wire and the ring wire (both Red in the kit). I have corrected the wiring issue and everything seems perfect except the nagging feeling that I may have damaged one or more of the components by trying the DC adapter while wired incorrectly. What should I look for?

I feel alot better now, thanks again. Well, now that I am totally hooked on building pedals I need to decide which one to make next !
