Built the Shredder, took my time made sure everything was were it was supposed to be. Wiring was all clean. I have built around 12 pedals from BYOC and GGG and never had a problem so I am not sure were to start to trouble shoot it. Could somebody point me in the right direction. Thanks

Start by following these guidelines, please: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=6405

BTW, I've moved your post to the correct sub-forum, since the Shredder is op amp-based.

Checked everything again with fresh eyes, re-soldered pots, checked resistors, Caps, checked polarity on diodes and caps. Still can't figure it out??!!
Here are some pictures. Let me know if you need better views of any of it. Thanks

Also the LED Lights up when engaged and if you turn up both Volume and Gain you get some static. I can't hear the guitar through though engaged or not.

So the pedal is not passing guitar signal either bypassed or engaged?

OK, that's usually caused by one of 3 things:

  1. Your signal is shorting to ground through one of the two I/O jacks. This can happen if the tip or its solder tab short against a grounded surface, most commonly the enclosure or something metal connected to it.
  2. A problem in the wire connections between the I/O jacks and the footswitch, generally a poor solder connection or a wiring mistake. I don't see the latter, but you should still double-check this.
  3. A bad footswitch.

There are extensive troubleshooting instructions in this "sticky" post: http://byocelectronics.com/board/viewto ... =9&t=52785

Figured it out. got a multimeter. First time using one. I knew if one of these kits didn't work that's when I would have to but one and learn how to use it. I got continuity through the whole thing so I went and replaced the jacks and it end up being a bad Stereo Jack. Thanks for all your help!
