You have some biasing problems. Voltage at pin 3 of IC1a should be 0v (in fact, all pins should be 0V except pins 4 and 8 ). This is probably throwing everything else out of whack further down the line. You probably have a cold solder joint at R7. IC2b should correct the bias, but it isn't, so you may have a cold joint at pin 5 as well.

I pulled the drive pot, reflowed all the pins on both ic sockets, reflowed the R7 resistor, and then put the pot back in. No change in behavior.

retook the readings, slight changes:

IC1
1: -6.95 (-6.93)
2: .05
3: .01
4: -8.4
5: 0
6: 0
7: -.01
8: 8.8

IC2
1: 6.85 (6.52)
2: 6.84 (6.80)
3: 6.83 (6.79)
4: -8.40 (-8.39)
5: 0
6: 0
7: 6.84 (6.80)
8: 8.8

Your voltages on pin 1 of IC1 and pins 1, 2, 3 & 7 of IC2 are way off the mark. If your soldering is good and all your component placements are correct I would try replacing both IC’s.

I just built a Green Pony and I am having nearly the exact same issue. Was there ever a resolution here?

Please start your own thread with photos of your build. Make sure they are large (but not too large, 1M max) and in crystal clear focus. We try not to piggyback threads here on the forum. Just because you are having similar symptoms as another rarely will you both have the same problem causing it.
