I just finished building my Green Pony pedal and cannot get any signal from it. The LED won't even come on. When my guitar is plugged in and my amp is turned up loud, I can hear white noise changing tones slightly as I mess with the knobs/switches but not actually guitar sound. I double checked all of my solder joints and cannot seem to find out how to fix this. Any help? I am SUPER new to building pedals but was super excited about this one!

Your soldering of the in and out jacks is very cold. Whenever your solder looks like globules like that you had poor heat transfer while soldering. You’re going to need to pull the PCB from the enclosure so we can see the soldering on that side.

Thank you-this is super helpful. Indeed my soldering was noob-ish. I clipped off the wires to the in and out jacks and started over fresh. The picture attached is just before I re-soldered them to the jacks and is the back of the PCB. The jacks look much better and I can put up some more photos after you let me know thoughts on this side of the PCB.

Thanks again,
Forrest B.

It looks as you have 1 pad with no solder at all just above the stomp, and a few that looks like the solder hasn’t flowed around the wire properly also around the stomp. To the right of the center pot looks like a bridge. I will sometimes take pictures like this and zoom all the way in to inspect my own work. You’re on the right track.

Fixed! What a cool sounding pedal. Fixed the cold solder job as well as replaced the glob of solder on lug 4 and now have one one wire connecting lug 4 and 9 instead of two wires linked together. Thank you again!!
