Building crown jewel.
Toggle switches have (bottom to top) nut, washer with a side thingy, normal washer, nut. How to install these? Are the bottom nut and washer to be put against the ubderside of the enclosure and the top two for above? Whats the washer with the side thing for?
Also, the four toggle switches are very close together. I dont think the washers will fit. Leave them out?

Place one nut on the switch and thread it all the way down onto the switch’s bushing. Insert the switch into it’s hole and add the toothed ID (Inner Diameter) washer and then the second nut. This will allow you to torque down the second nut without pulling the bushing out of the switch. Adding the first nut to the switches also sets how high the PCB will set off of the enclosure. This will in most cases dictate how far the back of the pots will be from making contact with the solder side of the PCB. Even so it’s still a good idea to insulate the back of the pots from shorting out against anything.

The washer with the little tab isn’t used unless you want to add the little locator hole in the enclosure to allow for the little tab. It’s used to keep the switch from rotating in it’s hole.

I installed all 4 washers in my build and they all fit just fine.

Pot condoms is one option. Another is a layer or three of electrical tape. Whatever you’ve got around the house that doesn’t conduct electricity and will stick to the back of the pot.
