So I ordered a Li'l Mouse kit and I'm on my second LED issue. I'll mention the first because it may have led to the second problem.

Problem #1 = Currently fixed:
The LED would remain on ALL OF THE TIME! For those of you familiar with the BYOC Li'l Mouse, you know that this is a tiny little enclosure. When I put the thing together, one of the wires from the 9V input jack was pressed so hard against another wire that it caused a short, sending a signal to the LED at all times. As I stated above, I fixed that issue.

Problem #2 = Not solved... YET:
I will plug in the pedal, power it on, the LED will turn on when powered on, and then after a short while of playing, about 5 or so minutes, the LED will turn off but the pedal will still be working. I will turn the pedal off, and then turn it back on and the LED will still be off through the power cycle even though the sound is on again. The only way to get the LED to turn off is to power it off, unplug it and leave it unplugged for an extended amount of time > 1minute, and then power it back on. But the same thing happens. The LED will turn back off. I'm wondering if my previous Problem #1 didn't damage the LED. I have taken the pedal apart again and I'm pretty sure I don't have any short circuits.

My questions:
Could the LED have been damaged, and could a new LED fix this problem?
Could the problem be somewhere else in the pedal? Any ideas where?

This is very odd behavior. Usually, an intermittent issue like this suggests that you have a cold solder joint somewhere that sometimes makes good contact and then no contact. However, if there is some consistency to your problem, e.g., it cuts out at exactly 5 minutes every single time, without you touching and moving anything, then I'd be more likely to think it was a problem with a component. First try reflowing your solder joints on the PCB and foot switch where the LED is concerned. If that doesn't fix it, check to see if the 4k7 limiting resistor is getting hot. You may need to replace the LED, 4k7 limiting resistor, or the footswtich.

I reflowed that 4K7 limiting resistor and the other joints you suggested and it's working! The LED is staying on! Thanks for the tip. I'll likely go back and double check other solders to make sure they look good too.

I really appreciate you taking the time to look it over and think it out! Thanks!
