My first full build, I've done many of mods before on pedals. Any way, when I turn the gain above 2 or 3 it just turns I to humming noise and oscillation. I have gone over my solder joints many times even took a small screw driver and double checked that there is space between the close ones, removed the pots and double checked all the connections under them. My ICs should be in correctly, my diodes and caps are correct. The 1 MB restriction makes it hard to give good photos these were the smallest I could get the memory down to with my phone so sorry if they suck. But any way, can any one see something I'm missing or has someone seen this before? When I've seen stuff like this before it was always some solder that was touching but I can't find it...

I don't see anything out of place.

Do you have access to a multimeter and know how to measure DC voltage with one?

Yes I do. I take it you have some test points and voltage references?

Yes. Please measure the voltages on the three legs of the transistor and report them here.

When I have the blend all the way over to clean, other than a tone change (it's a little brighter) I don't get any noise/hum/oscillation. I would think the issue would be in the OD section

Also, I tried swopping the two ICs and no difference

You've got a lot of burnt flux on your board. I'd try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol first.

I cleaned up all the flux but no change was made in how it works/sounds.

please take voltage readings of your op amps as well.

I didn't realize that I had turned the gain down, took 2nd readings with the gain up and with the noise. Wish I had an oscilloscope...

Those voltages look good.

You might try insulating the backs of your control pots with electrical tape.

You stated "I have gone over my solder joints many times". Does this include actually re-flowing each of the joints? If not, check out guidance for that process here:

Well after 2 years of this guy sitting on the shelf (too many other things going on) I finally made time to sit down with it. Looks like the solder to C13? (I wish the pcb had the numbers on it) was not soldered very well and was bridging across both terminals and this rectified it and it works now. Woot woot! Better late than never lol. Thank you for the help

Not sure it was the case here, but it is not uncommon for a solder bridge to occur between the solder joints of a radial electrolytic cap between the bottom of the cap and the PCB, where it is not visible. But this can be easily checked with a continuity test between the two solder joints.
