Any thoughts on what I should do here? Or do I just chalk this up to an $80 learning experience and order the kit again when it comes in stock?

Since the op amp eyelets were damaged, it's probably a good idea to confirm continuity between the pin solder joints and each component solder joint that they connect to. You can follow these connections by looking at the traces in the instruction diagrams and cross-referencing to the schematic as necessary. And, of course, by looking at the pedal itself. The components on the top side make that a bit challenging, but it's very clear where the traces go on the solder side of the PCB. All of the pins have just one trace attached to them with the exception of pin 6, which has a trace on each side of the PCB. If you get stuck, let us know.
