Was looking for some help/opinions on a concern I have with my chancellor and shredder builds. I have checked and double checked all of my work and all connections and soldering seems a-ok. However, on both I cant get them to match the volume on my other pedals without getting the volume around 2 o'clock or so. HAs this been anyone else's experience? I realize not every pedal will be the same at 12 but wanted to be sure. My plumes for instance is WAY louder at that same position than any other pedals.

For the Shredder, I would suggest changing the volume pot from the stock audio taper (A100K) to a linear taper (B100k), which will make the volume roll on faster as you turn this control up (CW).

The Chancellor should already have a B100K, but check that in case your kit came with an A100K. I would doubt it, but in this era of supply chain issues and parts shortages, you never know...

Starting a thread on this issue would be a good idea. If you do that, PLEASE include a good set of photos. They should be LARGE, well-lit, well-focused shots of BOTH sides of the PCB and all of the jack and switch wiring. You can use the forum's file attachment function (1MB max. size per image) or post them on a publicly accessible photo hosting site and display or link them here.
