Hey guys, got my first build finished and I need some help.

First off, I know a bunch of the solder joints look really bad. Def struggled hard on some areas, foot switch the most. I def feel like I should get a new footswitch and try to rewire that as I really struggled there and I was surprised it even turned the pedal on. But it powers on, and makes noise. Like a lot of noise. I am guessing I have multiple problems. For the cutting in and out, I am guessing its a bad joint somewhere. But overall, it sounds pretty weird and glitchy and I am afraid I have burnt something up. Its all over the place. As for the just massive amounts of signal noise, I am guessing my soldering is causing a bunch of that, maybe. I'm really just guessing. Someone from reddit that maybe I have too much extra wire past some of my solder points, but that was before he heard it, ha ha ha. I kinda feel like it is a lost cause as there is probably many issues and it would take a lot of time to eliminate them all. Any tips and tricks would help a bunch. Def wanna keep building and going down this rabbit hole, but would love to get some input from the more experienced to try and save this mouse. Please be nice on the soldering, it's my very first time using a iron, I know its bad. Like really bad. I do feel like a got pretty decent at the pcb soldering by the end of it tho. Had some I was proud of, although in general I feel like I still prob used too much solder on almost all of them, even the best ones. Anyways, thanks for the help in advance and I can post more pictures and stuff later if anyone thinks that can help.

Hey. That was me on Reddit. I was specifically talking about the wiring at the jacks, where there's extra wire sticking out beyond the solder joint which I thought might be causing intermittent cutouts, but yeah, after hearing it, I don't think that's your main problem.

I'll leave it to the experts here to troubleshoot, but I wouldn't be too hard on yourself for the soldering job. It's not that bad for a first time. That said, a lot of problems, even among more experienced builders, can be solved by a reflow: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

Yes. Your soldering does look a little cold, so a reflow would definitely be the first place to start. If you need further assistance, we'll need some better pics. Straight on, not at an angle. And try to fan the wires out so we can better see where they are coming and going.
