I built a British Blues OD about 3 months ago. Everything seems to work well (bypass, drive, tone, etc.). However, when the pedal is powered on, it adds a "chirp" like a cricket to my signal chain. It's usually pretty subtle when I am playing, but it is certainly loud enough that members of my band notice it between songs. (Which means that the audience probably hears it as well).

The chirping throbs in time with a pulsing of the LED.

The pedal is stored (stuck) at the place we play (paused for the last few weeks), but I can get it in a few days to get PCB pictures.

I wanted to explore initial thoughts on what we think it might be that could cause a chirp from the pedal.

Power supply is a daisy chain 9v (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012V ... UTF8&psc=1)
Not the most fancy thing in the world, but it powers my Klon clone, Vox Wah, and BYOC Analogue delay without issue.

See if the pedal still chirps when powered with a 9V battery.

Photos would be helpful. Long wire runs can be a problem, since they can pick up stray electrical signals like an antenna.

Yeah. Battery is the best way to rule out a problem with the power supply, but you could also try taking the other pedals off that power supply too. That power supply purports to be 1A, but you might be drawing too much current for that many pedals.

Thank you for the replies. I moved the pedal to it's own power supply and the chirp is gone. Not sure why the daisy chain PS was causing the chirp, but it seems to be a PS issue, not a pedal build issue.
